There's something about standing beneath an old gum tree and looking up that makes the rest of the world go quiet.
Heaven Scent captures a lemon-scented hum from below, its pale limbs stretching and twisting into a soft, ethereal sky. Warm, creamy tones and delicate foliage give this piece an almost dreamlike quality. Unmistakably Australian, yet beautifully understated.
The name came from a lovely stranger who said the photograph looked like what she imagined heaven would look like. Given it's a lemon-scented hum, Heaven Scent suddenly felt like the perfect name.
A photograph about looking up, slowing down, and noticing the extraordinary things that have been above us all along.
A note on sizing: This photograph was captured in a 2:3 ratio, so these sizes have been specially selected to preserve the original composition. Most sizes are in inches, however the largest size offered is 60 X 90CM.
Compatible ready-made frames are available from retailers including Spotlight, Officeworks and specialist frame stores, or choose Lyptus Art custom framing for a premium finish.
